I can walk the stairs on my own!!

Yup!!! Mom had the pleasure of seeing Arjun walk up and down the complete set of stairs! Arjun learnt to climb the stairs in a crawl format while he was probably 10-12 months old (I dont exactly remember!) He had this cute way of sliding down the stairs as though it was not a set of bumpty-bump stairs, but as though it was a long slide (or "slidey" as he calls it these days!) He would face the stairs and do one quick tummy slide!

He then preferred to sit down and drag his hoo-ha through each stair - bumpty bumpty bump!!! Even when we held his hand he would take his time and come down, and would still prefer to sit down and do a "bum slide" down the stairs...

But now he was able to hold on to the wall and just walk down! Yet another milestone! My little boy is growing up!!!

Funny thing is that he seems to balance better if he has an article in his other hand while his one hand holds on to the wall!!! Maybe he doesnt know what to do with his free hand!!!

Thats right... Keep 'em busy!

Animals....

Arjun just loves animals! He would listen for hours if we weaved him a story around all the forest animals...

For the past 2-3 months he has been able to identify about 10-15 animals based on the sounds we make!

His vocabulary is awesome for his age! As some one rightly said, I have one little sponge here! Say anything and he would repeat it! The other day I was telling Anand that we need to clear up the documents and sure enuff a little voice piped and said "Do-cu-ment"! Gotto be careful around this kiddo!
