Sentences and Happy Endings...

Too many things happening on a daily basis for me to jot down here. I need to also be posting on a daily basis...

Arjun has started speaking in almost full sentences and he is barely 2 years and 1 month old... His vocabulary is also rapidly expanding... This morning I was brushing my teeth when he was standing near me and asking me "Amma brushing teeth?" I replied with a muffled "Yes".... After a few minutes he impatiently asked "Amma still brushing teeth?" I had to grin...

He keeps saying sentences like "Where is Emma? - She is over there!" and "Where is Patti(grandma). She is watching TV"

He just doesnt want any one to tell him sad stories. He does not like Cinderella or Goldilocks and the three bears as in the former she is ill treated and in the latter goldilocks takes everything belonging to some one else... :-) So we are running short of stories...

Be back later to post some more

First Career Decision...

He had a tough time deciding on whether to be a fire man or a cop... But then he decided that he is going to be a cop. He said "Arjun Cop" and "Arjun help people". I tempted him by asking him "fireman?" He said "Arjun cop AND fireman"... I told him "No....either cop OR fireman... not cop AND fireman...Only one you can choose". He actually understood that and then was quiet for a few minutes and then finally said "Arjun Cop" "Help people"...

Ok....

Anand had 4 million dollar dreams that he would become a sports player...I had a 4 hundred thousand dollar dream that he would be a successful corporate exercutive... My son chose a 40 thousand dollar job... :-)

and the best part... we are fine with it! His happiness first! What ever Arjun wants!

So folks, send those toy cop cars that you have...dig those cop play uniforms from your attics and send them over...

First Swimming Pool experience....

Just jotting down that last evening, Arjun went to the swimming pool for the first time in his life. Needless to say, he was just fascinated... He loved it... He refused to leave the pool and then when we used brawn power and lifted him out, he created a ruckus and wanted to get back to the pool. Even the promise of a stop at his favourite dinner place (Denny's) where he gets a balloon to play with, along with mac&cheese and dinosaur nuggets, couldnt tempt him away from the pool...

The Right Way?

This happened a few days back… I was trying to teach Arjun the right way to pronounce a few words… One thing he always does is deliberately say “Gira-be” instead of “Gira-ffe” [We usually pronounce it Gira-phee so that later in his spelling days he can get the “e” behind the “f”]. So one fine morning, I told him “Arjun, the right way to pronounce is Gira-phee and not Gira-bee”. He said ok, and said the word correctly. After a few seconds he asked me in all innocence... “Left way”?

Huh?

Nice T Shirt

If it had just been me, I wouldn't have bought this T shirt looking at the price tag. But Anand happened to be there, and now our little master proudly owns this shirt...

You can click on the picture to enlarge it and read the print on the T shirt.
