Full Sentences...

Have been noticing that over the past couple of weeks, Arjun has started speaking in complete sentences - and some of them are really nice to hear.

Just this morning, while he was climbing onto his chair for breakfast, I was standing next to him... and he asked me - "Would you like to sit with me, Amma?"

My boy is growing up... too fast for me...

Mother's day Tain Ride.

Picture taken on May 14th 2006, when we along with 2 other families had gone on a local train ride.

Seen in this picture are Arjun and Sami (Friend's daughter) and Anand and I...Just noticing that both dad and son have a black shirt on and both have "Alphabets" in them - as Arjun says....

Coincidentally, Sami and I are both in pink...

Get *Your* Mommy...

This was so funny...Had to blog this... Happened I think last Saturday or Sunday... Saturday I think.

Anand un-naturally got up at 6:00 am that morning to watch French Open Women's finals. Arjun and I continued to do what we do best in this family - sleep. We were sleeping in the main bedroom.

Around 8:30 am, Arjun woke up and kinda was waking me up... We were both randomly talking and were in that half state between being asleep and fully awake. I was lying down on one corner of the bed and Arjun was curled onto my shoulders and we both were talking...

Anand came upstairs (maybe hearing our voices) and came over to kiss both me and Arjun good morning... As soon as I got my kiss, Arjun immediately pounced and covered me with both his arms and told Anand in a loud voice - "This is *MY* mommy. You go get *YOUR* mommy" - Left both me and Anand stunned for a brief minute - and then we just had to burst out laughing...

Now this is the kind of attention I don't mind getting at all...

Arjun's Mommy

Transition to a big bed....Milestone

Last evening, Anand and I dismantled the crib from Arjun's room and lugged the full size bed from the guest bedroom into his room. The pleasure in Arjun's eyes after he walked into his room from his bath, was worth the effort. He immediately climbed onto the big bed and started bouncing around saying "No crib...I am a big boy"

Will try to post some pictures here.

The night's sleep went fine... Arjun did call out 2-3 times in the night around 1:30 am and around 3:00 ish... but instead of walking in our sleep and getting him back into our bed, it was a pleasant change to just go and sleep next to Arjun in his 'big boy' bed.

3-4 months ago, the idea of making him sleep by himself in a bed with no protective sides would have freaked anand and me - thinking about him walking in the middle of the night, all by himself, but now we are ready.... However, looks like Arjun has been ready for a long time though!
