Go Figure!

Arjun's vocabulary is just amazing.... Everytime I think that I have a grasp on his knowlege levels, he surprises me...

Just the other day, we were on our way to our friend's house for their daughter Vennela's 2nd bday party.

Arjun was in the car seat and Anand was driving. I was in the passenger seat and talking to Arjun. He knew that we were going to Vennela's bday party. So I told him we are going to Veni's house. He said "Not Vennela's party?" I told him "Veni's bday party is going to be at her house. So we are going to veni's house"

His response? A casual "Oh, I figured that!"

If he continues at this rate, soon i will need to learn new words from him. (Fingers crossed - Hope I do - that's how its meant to be - there! Thats the sentimental mom speaking here!)

From the mouth of...

This incident happened maybe 2-3 weeks back and just *had to be* documented...

Simple daily routine - Anand was feeding Arjun his food one morning / or was it evening ? I forget.

Typically Arjun likes his food warm and his vocabulary for the heat level has cold, warm and hot - and warm is the only acceptable criteria - if food is described as hot or cold, he will not touch it. It has to be warm.

I was in the kitchen, when I caught this dialogue happening between father and son

Anand was feeding Arjun and suddenly Arjun said "It is hot Appa"
Anand "Sorry..." and proceeds to blow the food some more
Arjun " Be careful Appa"
Anand again "Sorry..."
Arjun "I am still a baby...."
