Mommy is thrillllllllllled!!!!

This happened a few weeks back. Can't believe I waited all this while before I got to blog it.

Arjun and I sometimes go for a long walk. We meander around the block, go cross a few traffic lights (he gets to choose the right button (which direction we need to go)) and then go to a small play area and then say hello to the ducks and walk back. No timeline, no hurrying up...Just strolling...Letting him stop every few minutes to observe the bugs and the dried leaves and the doggie poop on the way.

Anyway, this evening was a real fine one... and I was walking a few paces ahead of Arjun. When i looked up the sky, it was so beautiful.... The sunset was just happening and the clouds were outlined in orange and gold and the sky was a gorgeous red and orange. It was so beautiful that I called out to Arjun and pointed it to him and told him "Look Arjun.... See how pretty the sky is". I wasnt looking at him... I was still looking at the sky.... He must have looked for a few seconds later I heard him say "Yes Amma....Its pretty....Just like you"

Wow! What a terrific super-delicious compliment. To say that I was thrilled is an understatement. Beauty certainly lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Such a spontaneous statement - just awesome!
